New Sharjah Police commander-in-chief


Sharjah: Brigadier Saif Mohammad Al Ziri Al Shamsi is the new Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police.
Brig Al Shamsi described his appointment “as an honour” after the news was made public on Monday.
Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, issued a decree appointing Brig Al Shamsi as commander — in-chief of Sharjah Police on April 7 and a statement was issued on Monday to confirm the appointment.
Brig Al Shamsi has worked as Director of Eastern Region Police before assuming his new position which was formerly held by Maj Gen Humaid Mohammad Al Hudaidi who has retired.
Al Shamsi thanked Shaikh Saif for the trust placed in him and said his appointment was an honour that would allow him to serve the country and contribute to maintaining security across the emirate.
