New concept zero carbon emissions plane set to be the plane of the future

New concept zero carbon emissions plane set to be the plane of the future

After revealing a conceptual design last year that was teased as the 'future of air travel' named the AWWA Sky Whale, Barcelonan designer Oscar Vinals is back with a new concept that will produce zero carbon emissions and is 75% quieter than current airliners.
The futuristic aircraft has been dubbed the AWWA-QG Progress Eagle and features three decks that can hold up to 800 passengers, with a colossal wingspan of 314 feet Vinals has designed the wings in a way so they are able to fold up in order provide more room on the tarmac.
A HYDROGEN POWERED MEGA PLANE
Vinals revealed his latest concept on his project page and YouTube channel with a detailed explanation of his magnificent aircraft: "The Progress Eagle is based in the technology beyond 2030 with ideas from quantum mechanics, for these reasons, the innovations that the Progress Eagle presents could be available in 15 years' time."
The designer goes on to explain that once the aircraft reaches its cruising altitude the rear engine would be turned off and become a wind turbine, along with the solar panels this would then power the plane. The aircraft's cockpit will be located on the second floor and will be large enough for crew sleeping quarters and offices and the exterior will be made out of light-weight materials such as carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium.
